History

Our Worship Space has hosted a long history of congregations going back 150 years to 1862, when Bishop Talbot visited a fledgling congregation of about 50 in the mining town of Idaho Springs. A few years later in 1869, Idaho Spring's first wooden church was built and consecrated, on the same property we worship on today.

Sorrow came in 1926 with a fire that would destroy the old building. The church was a total loss besides the altar, and a bell which still sits on our property. A new Spanish style Mission was built in the 1930s, and this is the building where our congregation now meets.

Our Church

With the help of Emmaus, Joshua Nelson of Calhan Anglican, and Fr. Joe Acanfora who now serves as Vicar of our church plant, our present day mission began taking shape.

We Are Thankful for this space the Lord has blessed us with. And we are praying for a new work of the Lord in Idaho Springs and Clear Creek County. Please come and join us sometime. We would love to have you...

The church, once called Calvary, has seen over the years both full-time clergy and traveling priests from areas like Georgetown, Golden, and Central City.

In 2022, following over 40 years of independence, a small remnant joined again with Anglicans around the globe, coming under the care of Emmaus Anglican Church in Castle Rock, within the Anglican Church in North America.
